Update #5 adds the most recent verified checklist: mouse and controller camera inversion can be configured separately; the left-stick deadzone slider works; PlayStation button icons are detected through Steam; the radial menu accepts right-stick control; and several control labels were renamed or categorized. Update #4 also fixed gamepad navigation in the Guide and Encyclopedia. Earlier Update #2 enabled gamepad remapping through the combined Controls screen.

Troubleshoot in this order

  1. Update the game, then open Controls rather than relying on a launch-day layout.
  2. Check mouse and controller inversion separately. If the camera feels reversed, change only the affected input option.
  3. Adjust the left-stick deadzone; Update #5 fixed a value previously locked at 0.2.
  4. Rebind the missing action in the Controls screen. Do not rely on a copied default map, because the sources reviewed for this page do not provide one and actions can be rebound.
  5. For a radial-menu problem, confirm the current binding and test the right stick.
  6. On Steam Deck, remember that Playable is not the same as Verified. Keep the touchscreen/trackpad available for a screen that still resists controller focus.

Accessibility matters: if an essential screen still requires pointer input, describe that limitation in a bug report instead of calling the game fully controller-native. Use the in-game reporting route or the official community channel and include the screen, action and controller model.
